Customer Types

Different type of customers can be defined to associate preset column pricing or Product Codes matrix pricing to that customer defined type. The Col/Prod column will display a C for Column pricing or a P for Product Codes pricing.

P - Product Codes

Select one of the P types and clicking on the Properties tab will display the current settings in the Product Codes matrix by Groups. The first column is the Product Code for the Group. The second column is Group Base of None, Manual, Retail, or Cost. If the Group Base is Retail, the third column will list the percent discount from the Retail price. If the Group Base is Cost, the fourth column will list the percent increase from the cost of the item.

Select Properties for a previously defined type or the New button to define a new type. Enter the type ID and Description. Select the Add button to enter the defined Class of items with the corresponding Column pricing for that class of items.

In AR | Customer File | Settings, select Type Customer for the Pricing field.

A new box will appear following the Pricing box. Select the defined Customer Type for the customer. The customer will now receive the defined column discounts on all the items with column pricing set in the classes defined.
