Importing into Inventory Control

Once the MPLS export file is created, select IC | Maintenance | Import/Export | Electronic Catalog | Import Catalog to complete the process.

Import Source

The Import Source consists of a predetermined set of known manufacturers and/or list providers. In this case, MPLS will be selected.

Import File Location

The Import File Location is the directory into which the MPLS was previously exported. In this case, the C:\MPLS\Export directory contains the exported file.

Catalog Items added to...

During the import of the selected data, the system will add the items to either the Electronic Catalog only or both the Electronic Catalog and the Inventory file. If added to the Inventory File, the onhand quantity will be zero.

During the import, the system process will be indicated.
