Wireless Overview

TransActPOS Wireless provides real-time access to inventory information within the wireless coverage area. Now standing in the store aisle, users can access system information and perform specific functions to better manage inventory. Bringing real-time information to the aisle allows users to be more proficient when compared to previous batch based systems.

All transactions created on the mobile device posts directly into the TransActPOS database. TransActPOS Wireless can be added to any existing TransActPOS configuration. With the addition of TransActPOS Purchase Orders, "pre-purchase orders" may be created in the store aisle and then reviewed as a back office operation for verification.

Wireless Requirements:

1) TransActPOS Wireless activation code within your current TransActPOS installation.

2) Workstation or Server Based configuration (only one required)

Workstation requirements: Windows workstation with remote desktop connected to network. While the wireless unit is connected to the network, the designated workstation will not be available for use.
Server Based requirements: Microsoft Windows Server with the appropriate Remote Desktop Service licenses.

3) Wireless Access Point

Based upon your specific physical layout, multiple Access Points may be required.
