Error 1957 - Printer not found

"Error 1957 - Printer not found" can occur if the name of the shared printer contains spaces.  The following rules will eliminate this problem.
 
1) The printer name on the hosting computer should not contain spaces.
For example, within Windows | Printer and Faxes | the displayed name of the printer should be  "HPLaserJet4si" instead of "HP LaserJet 4si".  Edit the Name of the printer by right clicking on the printer and then selecting Rename.
 
2) The share name created at the hosting computer should not contain any spaces.
For example, within Printer and Faxes right click on the printer to be shared and then select the Sharing menu selection.  Click on "Share this printer" and then revise the Share name as required.
 
3) From the workstation accessing the shared printer, select Add Printer within Printers and Faxes by locating and connecting to the shared printer.
 
4) From within TransActPOS | Workstation Setup select redirect the specific modules to the correct printers according to your unique setup.
