Purchase Order LockedIn TransActPOS, a fail safe has been put into place to restrict the modifying of a PO under multiple user names. If a user logs in and tries to access a PO that is already being edited, they will be given a prompt stating that the PO is locked for editing by a user and give a time stamp. The options given are to Retry if you feel the prompt was brought up in error or if you have fixed the problem, overwrite which will allow editing by the current user regardless of what happened (useful if a computer crashed), or cancel will cancel trying to access it.
When you get this message, the first thing you should do is contact the user mentioned in the message. They can let you know what happened. If they are finished editing on their machine, but forgot to close out of it, go to their workstation and save it and go back to your machine and click retry. If a computer crash occurred or something else that cannot be fixed by going to said workstation and closing the PO, click overwrite. Again, this message is to prevent having multiple copies of a single PO floating around.
