True Value changes a retail price and you order this item, the item’s retail price will be updated in your system to the current True Value mainframe retail price upon a completed receipt of the order.

Scenario #1

Example: Wild True Value
  • Store programs: None from True Value (no variable price program)
  • Store objectives: Establish catalog retail prices from True Value except for a few items.  This store is required to have item level price by state law so they receive Bin and Item labels from the warehouse with each order.

  • ON - Update Retail upon Electronic Invoice Receipt
  • ON - Update ONLY Retail price changes in PO
     
True Value Behavior
If True Value changes a retail price and you order this item, the item’s retail price will be updated in your system to the current True Value mainframe retail price upon a completed receipt of the order.
TransActPOS behavior
Item PO
During the IOR reorder process, no changes are made to the TransActPOS retail price and a quantity is entered for the item, thus putting it on order, the following occurs:
  • A bin label will be printed with the current True Value mainframe retail price
  • Item labels will be printed for the quantity ordered
  • If the current True Value mainframe retail price is different from the store’s current retail, the store’s retail price will be changed to the current True Value mainframe retail price &endash; upon processing (finishing) receipt of the IOR order.
  • If this item has been set to (NMP) No Mass Price Changes, the current True Value mainframe retail price changes will not affect the item.  The stated retail price within TransActPOS will not be affected by the changes indicated at True Value.
  • If you want to change your retail price and not be affected by True Value, change the retail price within the reorder screen and then select the NMP option.
  • If you ordered an item which you have changed the retail price on a previous order and did not check the NMP option, the retail of your system will be changed to the current True Value mainframe retail price upon the receipt of the IOR order.  You will have BIN and price tags which match the current True Value mainframe retail price.
Label PO (Future Option)
  • If you do not print your own labels and would like to have new labels printed by True Value, create a Label PO.
  • In the PO, enter the item number and then an order quantity of ”888” and then enter the retail for the label.
     

Scenario #2

Example: Central Paint
  • Store programs: None from True Value (no variable price program)
  • Store objectives: Store wants to establish their own pricing program but have True Value print Bin and Item labels from the warehouse with each order.
Current System > Company Setup >IOR &endash; True Value Options
  • ON - Update Retail upon Electronic Invoice Receipt
  • OFF - Update ONLY Retail price changes in PO (this will send all retail prices to True Value)
True Value Behavior
True Value does not change or control the store’s retail prices.  The store completely controls their retail prices.

  • A bin label will be printed with the store’s retail price
  • Item labels will be printed for the quantity ordered
Label PO (Future Option)
  • If you do not print your own labels and would like to have new labels printed by True Value, create a Label PO.
  • In the PO, enter the item number and then an order quantity of ”888” and then enter the retail for the label.

Example: True Value Store Specific Variable Pricing with labels printed by True Value
  • Store programs: Retail Price Enhancement or Variable Pricing
  • Store objectives: Store Specific Retail Price maintained by True Value
 
Current System > Company Setup >IOR &endash; True Value Options
  • ON - Update Retail upon Electronic Invoice Receipt
  • ON - Update ONLY Retail price changes in PO
True Value Behavior
Items ordered will adopt the True Value Store Specific Variable Price upon completed receipt of the order.  NMP items will adopt the stated TransActPOS retail price.
