<GL Item Sale Code>

The GL Item Sale Code can be assigned to an indicated Class ID.  If the GL Item Sale Code is changed on this screen, the system will automatically update the GL Sale Code of each ote, assigned to the class.

Class ID

1. Class ID
The Class ID is used to group common products within various reports.  The item's currently assigned Class is the value used at time of reporting.  So, if the item was originally assigned to Class X and then changed to Class Y, recreating a report will show the historic sales within Class Y.  Reports are reflective of the item's current assigned Class.

GL Item Sale Code

2. GL Item Sale Code
The GL Item Sale Code is adopted by the item as the item is added to the inventory, if a GL Item Sale Code is present within the Class Maintenance.   Changing the current GL Item Sale Code to a different value on this screen will automatically update the GL Sale Code on the IC > Inventory File > Gl Accts tab.
 
 
The GL Sales Codes are managed within System > Support Files > GL Sales Codes.
