Assigning the new Item Tax Type to items
Within one of the stores, go to IC > File Inventory File > and locate the item(s) to which te tax variance will be assigned. In this example a group of Propane related items will be taxed at a higher rate at one location and the standard rate at all other locations.
Locate item 497016 and then select Edit.
Select the Tax Table field and choose the applicable Item Tax
In this example, the P10 will be selected.
Select Save to complete the process.
TransActPOS Multistore will automatically update the Tax Table field at all locations within the normal communications process, which is a couple of minutes.
Selecting one of the other stores during this writing shows that the Tax Table field has been successfully updated at the other locations.
