Example of an the update process

This example utilizes a Orgill item that has been added to the inventory.  This utility applies to other communicating vendor that supply their corporate taxonomy within their catalog.

  • By default this item was assigned to the number class based upon the first two digits of the assigned fineline.
  • After adding the store decided to change the class their own class assignment so the original value was changed.
  • At some point it was decided to return to the original class assignment based upon the first two digits of the fineline.
  • Instead of manually changing each of the altered class assignments, the Options > eCatalog Menu > Update Catalog with the Orgill vednor selected, changes all items that have a Orgill relationship, to the first two digits of the fineline based upon the current values of the fineline within the eCatalog.
