What is Google Pointy?

Google Pointy is a tool designed to help local retailers showcase their in-store products online.

How It Works

  • Integration with POS Systems: Pointy connects with a retailer’s point-of-sale (POS) system, either through a physical Pointy box or an app download.
  • Automatic Product Upload: When a product’s barcode is scanned at the POS, it is automatically uploaded to the retailer’s Pointy Page, which acts like a virtual store.
 

Main Functions

1. Increased Visibility: Products are displayed on Google Search and Maps, making it easier for customers to see what’s available in-store before visiting2.
2. Local Inventory Ads: Pointy can turn product information into Google PPC ads, helping to drive more traffic to the store1.
3. See What’s In Store: This feature within Google My Business shows an inventory of in-stock products at a given location3.

Go to System > Company Setup > Inventory Page 1 and select the Google Setup to complete the Sign Up process for Google Point.
