Group Subtotal Controls

Here’s a simplified explanation of the Group Subtotal Controls for the TransActPOS Sales Quote and Sales Order module:

Purpose: These controls allow users to create subtotals for a series of items within sales transactions.

How It Works:

Group-Start:

This SKU is inserted above the first item in the series you want to subtotal. It indicates the start of the subtotal process.

Group-Stop:

This SKU is inserted below the last item in the series. It marks the end of the subtotal that began with the preceding Group-Start.

Special Note:
If you want to create multiple subtotals (a sequence of groups), you do not need to insert a Group-Stop at the end of a group. The system automatically assumes that the previous group has ended when you insert a new Group-Start. So, a Group-Stop is implied and not required for consecutive subtotals.

Characteristics of a Group-Start Item:

The "Group-Start" SKU is a Item Type: "Comment" and Matrix: "Group SubTotal".

Characteristics of a Group-Stop Item:

The "Group-Stop" SKU is a Item Type: "Comment" and Matrix: "Group Stop".
