Ordering with a handheld unit

Many stores will walk the aisle with their handheld unit (current model Zebra TC 26).  Simply select the “Order” button and then scan the item’s UPC or BIN label to input the desired order quantity.  

This will automatically create Pre-POs for the primary vendor for the items scanned (note: If an existing Pre-PO is present the items will be added to the existing order).  Those orders can be further edited within the Desktop Modify PO option.  

                   

 

 

Pre-POs can NOT be submitted to a vendor.  They must first be changed to a “PO”.  Pre-POs are created to ensure a PO is not erroneously sent while still in the process of being created.
