Section 1: Hardware Setup

1. Receipt Printer Setup

1. Install the receipt printer that will be hooked up to the cash drawer as described in the “EPSON TM-T88VI Receipt Printer Install Guide SOP” documentation linked above.

2. Plug in a CDKO (RJ11) cable to the back of the receipt printer to be used to communicate with SMARTtill (see example below).

2. SMARTtill

1. The other end of the CDKO (RJ11) cable from the printer will plug into the back of the SMARTtill unit toward the middle (See below).

2. A USB cable will plug into the back of SMARTtill on the left end of the panel (See below).

3. Plug the other end into the PC that will act at the TransActPOS workstation. No additional power cable is required.
