TA2QB Multi –StoreWhen creating TA2QB for a multi-store a Dropbox folder (www.dropbox.com) or similar type of folder such as SharePoint will need to be created that both stores have access to. (the following instructions are for a Dropbox account, make adjustments to 1, and 2 as needed.)
1. Make sure both stores have a Dropbox account or access to the folder location.
2. Create folder within one of the accounts, and name it for whichever store it is for. (example: Store A has QuickBooks on their computer for each store, create a folder for Store B and make sure both locations have access. Both stores must have access to this folder.
3. On store A’s computer you will need to have a secondary TA2QB for store B.
1. Connect to the computer with QuickBooks.
2. Upload the TA2QB_File_Package.zip file and unzip
3. Run QBFC130Installer.exe
4. Create the folder TA2QB on the local drive.
5. Copy all files excluding QBFC130Installer.exe to the TA2QB folder.
6. Create a desktop shortcut to the application TA2QB.exe starting in the TA2QB folder.
7. Change the name of the shortcut to TA2QB.
8. Create a folder that both TransActPOS and TA2QB can access. (Dropbox may be used in some cases)
9. Run the new TA2QB shortcut.
10. The TA2QB application will prompt for the TransActPOS Postings Folder, select the folder created in step 8 and select OK.
11. Next TA2QB will prompt for the QuickBooks Company File Selection. (example file location: C:\USERS\PUBLIC\DOCUMENTS\INTUIT\QUICKBOOKS\COMPANY FILES\your company.QBW)
12. TA2QB can be closed at this time, if no release has been done within TransActPOS.
If you are having trouble locating your company file for step 11, open QuickBooks, click File in the upper left hand corner and hover over Open Previous Company, it will show the file path for the company file. There may be multiple company files listed, look for the current company file.
