The description of the item is transferred from the IC module and displayed here.

You can edit the description by clicking Item Desc.
Description
This opens a window that allows you to type a new description and click OK.
 
The new description shows in the Item Listing.
 
If you wish to display the item UPC with the description, you can set this to be added automatically by checking Add UPC to POS description in System | Company Setup | POS Information 1.

The UPC is added at the beginning of the item description while retaining the existing description.
