Easy XChange
This allows you to very simply exchange a customer's item for a new item that is exactly the same. This assumes the item is damaged in some way, and it should not be returned to the store's inventory. An Easy XChange results in a $0 invoice if no other purchases are made in the same transaction.
When you click Easy XChange, the Enter Item field changes to an Xchange field. The overall appearance of the Ring Sale screen remains the same.
You can enter the item using the same methods as in a Ring Sale purchase. A window opens for you to enter the quantity of the item to exchange.
The system processes the exchange as the return of the customer's item and the sale of the new item.
When ending the sale, you can choose whether to end the sale directly, which assumes a cash customer, or to apply the exchange to a customer's charge account. Even though an exchange is a $0 invoice transaction, it is important to accurately document it under the customer's account if applicable as this may be important for the customer's record-keeping.
