Gift Card Maintenance

The Gift Card Maintenance is an additional option that can be added to your installation.  This module will generate the required serial numbers for preprinted gift cards. Access to this option requires that the assigned group have full rights to the Options | Gift Card Maint.

 

Select the Create Numbers from the Gift Card Maintenance menu.

 

To create a series of gift card numbers for the system, enter in to the "Create export for" field the number of gift cards serial numbers needed.  Then select "Export".

 

The system will then present the "Save As" screen. The default folder is your TransActPOS directory, but you will want to put this file somewhere you will remember and rename the file something obvious (an order of 100 gift cards for the month of December in the year 2013 could be named "Dec2013 100GiftCard").  Either way, make note of the saved location and file name before clicking the Save button in the lower right.

 

After the export file is saved, the system will ask you to record the new gift card numbers. Respond "Yes" to this prompt.

Upon responding Yes to the above prompt system will record the gift card numbers within the application.
