Information Server

When the settings in Company Setup are correct, the EiServer (or Information Server) will run. You will see an envelope like icon in the bottom right of your screen. If you double click this icon, you will see the EiServer status window. If things are running correctly, it will say Status: Running or Active. Click Stop and Close in order to make sure the settings are correct. Click on File and click User Preferences.

 

 

Click on the General tab and you will be presented with the following screen.

 

The screen should look similar to the screen above. The only values that need to be changed, depending on the store, are the bottom five fields.

 

Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP): This value should be the same, no matter what store you are at. It should read mail.transacthosting1.com

Mail Server User Name: Each store will receive their own user name to enter in to this field.

Password: This is the password for your email account.

From EMail: If the email entered when sending an email is blank, this value will be the default email.

BCC EMail: Every email sent when the EiServer is active will send a copy to the entered email in this field.

 

In TransActPOS, there are many areas where emails can be sent. These are in the form of invoices for select customers, statements, and reports to name a few.
