1. Perform a Print Test from within the Start | Printers and Faxes

Check to see if print test is being placed in print queue.
2. Confirm that printer cables are attached (maybe try a different cable or the current cable on a different printer)
3. Replace printer with identical unit to determine if the problem is based upon the PC or the attached printer.
4. Attach printer to another workstation to determine whether the problem is the printer or the workstation.
5. Check the parameters of the printer port to make sure that the port type is appropriate for the attached printer. (serial versus parallel)
