Connecting to Patch Panels

The patch panel is typically placed near the server and other communications equipment. This is the source of all cable runs in the building. Attaching cables to the patch panel is similar to completing the RJ45 connector.

Check the wiring pattern of the specific patch panel being used at the installation for the pattern diagram. As in the example below, the typical pattern, left to right, is striped and solid
