Voyager Barcode Scanner

When a Voyager Scanner (made by Honeywell) is used for inventory and you cannot scan the quantity codes (which are code 39 codes), it's because that model of the scanner will not read code 39 codes that contain less than 3 characters by default. In order to fix this, follow the steps below.

 

1. Download the PDF document (VG1200-UG Rev B)

2. In the PDF, go to page 7-8, print it out, and scan the "Minimum Message Length" Barcode (C39MIN).

3. Next, go to page Prog-4, print it out, and scan "0" (K0K) and then "1" (K1K).

4. Lastly, go to page Back-1, print it out, and scan "Save" (MNUSAV).

 

After following these steps, the scanner should now scan code 39 codes properly.
