Debit Card Example

At the Payment Screen, select Credit Card

The Verifone device responds with a prompt to Insert or Swipe the Card.

Note: Tap is not available within the surcharge scenario.

Once prompt by either of the two prompts, remove the card.

The AUTH page will appear on the device for $0.01. Functionally, this step is used to determine whether the inserted card is either debit or credit at the processing bank.

If Debit, the system processes automatically to the authorization of the debit card amount present at on the invoice. The transaction completed with a Post Authorization notification of $0.64 Captured

The resulting invoice is displayed below. The APPROVAL line presents the DEBIT card type and the Surcharge value is zero since the card being processed is debit. The device returns to the Welcome screen and ready for the next transaction.
