Example of an the update process
This example utilizes a Orgill item that has been added to the inventory. This utility applies to other communicating vendor that supply their corporate taxonomy within their catalog.
By default this item was assigned to the number class based upon the first two digits of the assigned fineline.
After adding the store decided to change the class their own class assignment so the original value was changed.
At some point it was decided to return to the original class assignment based upon the first two digits of the fineline.
Instead of manually changing each of the altered class assignments, the Options > eCatalog Menu > Update Catalog with the Orgill vednor selected, changes all items that have a Orgill relationship, to the first two digits of the fineline based upon the current values of the fineline within the eCatalog.
To revise all Orgill related item's assigned classes to the expected value within the Orgill catalog, select the following:
Options
Electronic Catalog Menu
Maintenance > Update Catalog
Find Vendor, in this example "ORGILL"
Select Accept
Check "Class"
Select Start
At the following prompt choose the appropriate response. Choosing Yes will prompt the system to proceed, otherwise select No.
The current status of the progress will be presented on the screen.
Notification of completion.
Let's review the revised class for item "4008033". As expected, the class has been reassigned to the Class "35" which is the leading two digits of the Fineline as indicated within the Orgill Taxonomy.
