Package/Lot Break

Definitions:

For example, a box of 50 bolts that is stocked in inventory is opened and placed in a bin of bolts.  The Package Break process removes a single box of 50 bolts from inventory and then receives 50 individual bolts into the designated SKU for the individual bolt.

The Lot Break process is similar to a Package Break process but includes the Lot number of the source product during the inventory transfer.  For example, a 50 pound bag of pumpkin seed, lot #WE2, is repackaged into 50 1 pound bags belonging to lot #WE2.
