Using TransActPOS

Some features appear throughout TransAct and perform the same function.
 

Function Keys

A number of transactions throughout the modules can be accessed via a function key on the keyboard.  These are denoted by parentheses ( ) including the function key next to the transaction.  Pressing the function key performs the same task as clicking the button.

Common Window Buttons

Individual records, like the IC inventory file and the Service ticket, generally employ some of the same buttons at the bottom of the window.

New

1. New
This creates a new record.  In some modules, this button may say Add instead of New.

Edit

2. Edit
This allows you to make changes to the currently selected record.

Find

This opens the Find window to search for a record.

Delete

4. Delete
This deletes the currently selected record.  In some modules, it is best to change the record to an inactive status rather than deleting the record.

Close

This closes the current window.

The AR customer file and IC inventory file windows contain a PrtScn button that takes a screenshot of the TransAct screen.
The left and right arrows allow you to quickly navigate to the preceding or succeeding record.
 

Calendar Picker

Within a date field, you can enter keyboard shortcuts to increment by preset amounts.
