The Update Process

Updating your TransActPOS system is crucial to making sure you are keeping up with feature additions, bug fixes, and more. To access the Update Menu, go to System | File Maintenance | Update Menu.
 
1. Note: During the update process, all workstations will need to be exited out of TransActPOS
 
 
2. Performing the actual update of the application and data (Perform Update) -Select "Perform Update" to install the update on to your system
 
 
-Click Yes when asked to Run update program for TransActPOS (make sure everyone is out of the program) -After a few moments, the following message will appear; Answer Yes
 
 
  -The next prompt will send a notification to all computers running TAPOS that it will shutdown. This isn't required, but very useful for double checking that all other workstations are exited out at the time of the update
 
 
  -Next, you will see the license agreement. Read the document and click I Agree if you agree to the terms listed in the agreement. Once you have agreed, click Continue to perform the update. (you can also click Print to print the agreement out)
 
 
  -The update will take 5-10 minutes and show a progress bar of where the update is. Once it is complete, you will see the following box. Clicking OK will shut down TAPOS and then you can reopen the program and you will be ready to go!
