What is the origin of "Cannot find lv_sodlvd in ...ta700.dbc"error when TransActPOS starts?
The origin of this error is based upon the structure of the data set doe not match the expected structure required by the installed build of the TransActPOS application. The simple resolution to the problem is to perform a TARepair with structure update.
Resolution to the error
Select Cancel until the TransActPOS application presents the main menu and then select Exit and leave the program.
Within the TransActPOSServer directory, typically M:\TransActPOSServer, locate TARepair.exe found in the TransActPOSServer directory and open the application.
Upon starting the TARepair application, the system will present, in this case, the Missing View for the TA700.dbc
Select OK
The TARepair application will limit the user input to the "Update" option. Select the Update button to update the DBC to include the indicate view during the TARepair process.
Upon selecting "Update" the system will question if a backup has been performed.
If a recent backup has not been performed answer "No", complete a backup of the Data01 contents, and then return to complete this process.
Selecting "Yes" to the above question, the system will update the database as indicated and indicate that the process has completed with the following prompt.
