CrossCheck will list all vendors with matching UPCs and/or Manufacturer Model numbers for the selected item's search criteria. Items are listed with catalog costs and retail for comparison.
Note: These comparisons are based on the current information of the vendor catalogs in TransActPOS Electronic Catalog so make sure that the communicating vendor catalogs are up to date and the manually imported catalog data has been recently updated.
The process of starting the cross check utility begins with choosing the CrossCheck Type which is predominately UPC. The filtering selections are typically left blank allowing a full review of all inventory within TransActPOS.
Select Start to initiate the review.
Choose CrossCheck Type "UPC"
Selecting CrossCheck Type UPC directs the system to use the available UPCs present within each inventory item's Lookup By listing to search for new vendor relationships within the current listing of items within the entire TransActPOS Electronic Catalog.
Important Note: If a UPC is present within the Lookup By for an item is not for a different item that indicated within the General tab, the system will locate these instances of incorrect relationships AND present these within the next screen for your review. Within the UPC to UPC Part No. Matches preview screen the user may un-check the option to add the found Electronic Catalog item to the Lookup By listing by un-checking the UPC column.
Once initiated, the system compares the current inventory's UPCs to the UPCs within the Electronic Catalog of all the available vendor products. If the comparison a vendor relationship that is not already on the item's Lookup By listing, the UPC to UPC Part No. Matches will present the findings of this comparison process.
