Creating Kits

First create an inventory item with the Item Type indicated as Kit.

Next, create the component listing for the kit by selecting Kit Detail from the Inventory File | General screen.

Select Add to begin creating a component listing from the inventory listing. Enter the appropriate item number and then indicate the quantity in the kit.

Continue adding components until the listing is complete for the specific kit.

Select Close to complete the process of adding the kit's detail inventory items. Upon returning to the General screen, the system has recalculated the Average Cost of the items found within the Kit Detail and updated the Avg Cost field. Select Edit to modify the Retail Price of the kit offering.
