In this step, the user will be adding an additional unit of measure, previously not found within this item. When the pricing is added to the system for the 12PK unit of measure, the system will prompt the user for the related item number for the unit of measure.
Note: Since the system is not aware of a Sell Unit of "12PK", the system will present the following prompt to assign an existing Lookup Number to the item or create a new Lookup Number for this unit of measure.
In this example, the Item Number "018200001062" has been related to the "EA" selling unit. The current pricing is being based upon a new unit of measure being introduced with the 12PK pricing. Entering within the "New Item Number" field the UPC for the 12PK product will allow the correct association to be created.
Reviewing the Lookup By tab will indicate the creation of an additional reference number for the UOM "12PK".
The UPC for the 12PK was found on the side of the cased product. Simply scanning the bar code will allow the user to quickly and accurately enter the information into the system.
