Prices Tab
The Inventory File Prices Tab screen presents all the established pricing methods for the selected item, except for special customer types and group discounts.
The CPM option of Col Qty or Mxt Qty on the General tab for the item determines if the Column Prices or Qty Prices pricing is currently available. (Note: The box in System | Company Setup | Properties | POS Information 2 | Use Commodity Price Matrix must be checked to use the CPM options.) When the Edit button is selected and the Col Qty option has been selected, the Column Pricing information may be modified for the selected item. If the Mxt Qty has been selected, clicking on the Pricing tab and then Qty Prices will allow the entering of Quantity Prices. (Note: Column Pricing is still available if the Mxt Qty is selected but switching from Mxt Qty to Col Qty will remove all Qty Price entries for that item type to the Col Qty field).
The Sales and Contract pricing are maintained within separate portions of the program. Sale Prices are maintained within the POS | File Maintenance | Promotions while the Contract Prices are maintained within the individual customer account. Review AR | Customer File | Settings | Contract Pricing.
Product Code price schemes are defined in IC | Support Files | Product Codes.
When the "Contractor" mode Sales Order box in System | Company Setup | Properties | Sales Orders 1 is checked, additional pricing is available as is associating customer sales orders with contractors. A customer is defined to be a contractor under Customer File | Settings | Edit by checking the contractor box.
Once a Product Code is entered in IC | Inventory File | Pricing for an item, the pricing scheme will be applied to the item's retail price and the appropriate prices will be displayed for all groups on the Pricing tab. When a Product Code Group is selected in AR | Customer File | Settings | Pricing for a customer, the corresponding Product Code/Group price will be used as the selling price unless a lower price is available for the item.
