IC Advanced Search

If entering an item number or portion of one doesn't result in the results you are looking for,  select the Advanced Search button. This allows you to search your inventory via other methods.

 

In this search box, enter a description for the item you are looking for. When you have entered the description you wish to search for, click the Find button or just press Enter.

 

Using the up and down arrows will highlight the item to select for the invoice. Press Select or Enter to add this item to the invoice.  Pressing the Esc key will return the user to the Ring Sale &endash; Detail screen.  

 

Since the Description Search is based upon the contents of the item’s description, it is advisable to create accurate inventory item descriptions.  This search is only as good as your descriptions allow. If you have the Resellable Items Only box selected, the search will only display items that can be sold.

 

The manufacturer search provides the means of locating inventory by manufacturer name and model number.  The manufacturer model number is established within the IC | Inventory File | General tab. Click the button to the right of the Select Manufacturer field to select a manufacturer that is in your system. You can also search by the model number or a portion of the model number to narrow down your search results.

 

Using the up and down arrows will highlight the item to select for the invoice. Press Select or Enter to add this item to the invoice.  Pressing the Esc key will return the user to the Ring Sale &endash; Detail screen. Clear allows you to enter in different search filters.

 

 This search option allows you to find an item by searching a Vendor ID, Location, and/or FineLine. On the search window, enter the information you wish to search for and click Find. You can also check the "Only Resellable Items" option if you want to only locate resellable items in your inventory. Clicking the "Select Vendor" button will bring up the Find Vendor window allowing you to search the vendors within your system.

 

If you find the proper item, highlight it by clicking it and click the Select button to enter it on the Ring Sale screen. If you couldn't find the item, change the search parameters or use a different search method.

 

The eCatalog Find screen will find items in the electronic catalog by partial numbers for Part Number, Mfg Model, Manufacturer, Vendor, UPC Code, or Fine Line number.  Description or Fineline searches can also be made. To help order your search results, you can choose a display order from the drop down menu on the top of this screen.
