No Tax items for Taxable Customers

Some items may be non-taxable for a normally taxable customer (farmers). Whole classes of items or individual items can be marked as non-taxable for a customer. In AR | Customer File | Settings for a customer, select Pricing Discounts.

The ”No Sales Tax” option will automatically omit items from the sales tax calculation during the sales process for this customer for the Items or Portion or Specific Classes indicated. If this option is selected, indicate the appropriate tax category for the item’s sale. As usual, appropriate customer documentation should be maintained to substantiate the item’s non-tax status. Discounts on the items may or may not be included as appropriate.
