Grocery Interface
The "Grocery Interface" supports a secondary POS system's inventory where the secondary POS sells products in TAPOS. The Secondary POS's items are not maintained within TransActPOS, but by interchanging item information between the two systems, they are capable of selling all products. This exchange requires the secondary POS to export and import item information and export invoiced TransActPOS items. A grocery store is the best example of this relationship. Grocery items and hardware item sales are exported and hardware items are imported to a shared folder both systems can access. The Mercury Server provides the data exchange for the TransActPOS information. The following information is required in order for this relationship to work:
Number of Product Codes
This sets the number of lines of product codes. More information is available here.
Number of Quantity Codes
This sets the number of lines of quantity codes. More information is available here.
Minimum Gross Profit Margin
The Minimum Gross Profit Margin option omits sales discounts which result in a Gross Profit Margin below the established Minimum “Gross Profit Margin”. More information is available here.
