The Item ID for the Bulk Item's BOM

Other than the Item ID difference (inclusion of a TN for Tonnage), the Item ID and Item Type are identical to that of the bagged product.

In this example, the approximately 2,000 pounds of raw materials will create TN1 (1 TON, 2,000 LBS) of finished material.

If there is the possibility of a "partial" build of a finished product, indicate a decimal value.
 
Upon selecting within the General tab and then Build Item, the system will present the Build Item from BOM screen. Bulk Feed BOM Considerations
Selecting the Build Item on the Build Item from BOM screen, the user may indicate the number of BOMs Used.

for the Bagged Product

for the Bagged Product
The 2745 is the standard SKU for the bagged product.  In this case, 2745TN is the indicator that this is the bulk SKU for the 2745 SKU.  The 2745TN will track and manage the retail price and current inventory of this finished good.  Typically, the On-Hand quantity will typically be zero since once the finished bulk material is created it is delivered shortly there after and billed (shipped) to an invoice.

Build Item the First Time - Assigning the Finished Goods SKU

Assigning the Finished Good Item ID to the BOM

 
Select the Build Item button at the bottom of the General tab.
Bulk Feed BOM Considerations
Select the Build Item located at the bottom of the Build Item from BOM screen.
If the Item Created field contains N/A, the finished goods item has not been assigned to the BOM.
 

Locating the Finished Good

To assign a finished good to the BOM, select the Ellipse (...) to locate the targeted item that will receive the results of the Build process.
 
Within the Select Item screen, select Find.
 
Enter the Item ID for the finished good.  In this case, the 2745TN item is the finished good..
Select the Select button to choose the highlighted item.
 
Upon choosing the Item Created SKU, the system will present the target item for the BOM Build process.
 
With the Item Created assigned to the BOM, the Build Item process is ready to process the BOM to the indicated finished product.
Upon selecting the Build Item, the system will then prompt the user for the quantity of BOMs of raw materials that will be used in building the finished materials, the Estimated Result quantity.
