With the option unchecked, the system returns the 1963495, 229403 and 709725 items thus allowing the user to select the appropriate item.

In this dataset, there is only one exact match to 70972. the 706935 item, thus resulting in a dead match and no user interaction is required.*

Because the item had a Manufacture's Model number of 70972 and there were no other near matches, the system presents the item 229403 within the detail screen.

Entering the 70972 plus an asterisk(*), results in the following list of items.  The user is allowed to select the desired item by highlighting with the Up and Down Arrow keys or clicking on the item with a Left mouse click.  Item 706935 does not appear since it is not available for resell.

 

Including the asterisk in this example allows the system to show items that also contain the 70972 within the available search options to include the manufacturer model and the Look Up by options.
