What if the Product Price is lowered?
Question:
What if the Retail Price is changed to a price that is lower than the stated value of the standard coupon? Does the system give the customer change back?
Answer:
No, the system does not give change back. The system does lower the value of the Standard Coupon if the modified Retail Price is lower than the standard coupon value.
Example:
Item 756326 is entered within the Point of Sale.
Selecting the Change Price (F4) button, the New Price is entered as $1.50.
When selecting OK, in this case the system did indicate that the item was below cost but this is understood and OK was selected.
The Below Minimum Price prompt is present and again this was confirmed with a "Yes".
The modified price is presented within the Ring Sale screen.
With the Payment screen moved to the side, the system presents the COUPON-2DOLLAR with an adjusted value of $1.50.
