Automatic Mode

TransAct supports automatic credit card payments through a Verifone MX915, MX925, or M400.  Automatic mode must be set up in System | Company Setup | Payment Types under Credit Card Software by selecting Point Swipe/Manual or Point Swipe Default.

Manual

This prompts you to select either swipe card entry or manual card entry upon clicking Credit Card at the Payment Screen.
 
The customer is then prompted by the Verifone unit to swipe the credit card or manually enter the credit card information depending on your selection.

2. Default
This defaults to swipe entry.  The customer is prompted by the Verifone unit to swipe the credit card.  If it is necessary for the customer to manually enter the credit card information due to a card or Verifone malfunction, the customer can press the red X on the Verifone unit.  The following screen opens, from which you can select the appropriate entry method.

Signature

3. Signature
You can enter a maximum dollar amount for which a signature is required.  Enter -1 to never require a signature.
