About TransActPOS

Clicking the TransActPOS logo opens the About TransActPOS window.

Phone Numbers

TransAct contact information and equipment support numbers are displayed.

License and Build

The currently installed version and build are shown, along with the number of user licenses your store owns and the serial number.  The number is licenses is the number of users who can connect to the system at one time.  For installations utilizing either the Hybrid SAAS or Hosted SAAS installation modules, the License Expires field indicates the date on which the current agreement ends. For more information on the serial number, see the video Where is My TransActPOS Serial Number?

Resend ZNumber

Upon clicking Resend ZNumber Info, you are prompted to enter a date range for closed ZNumbers for which you wish to resend retail sales data to your primary vendor.

What's New

This provides details on the enhancements and bug fixes in the latest TransActPOS build.

Modules

This displays a list of the currently licensed modules activated for your store.

License

This displays a copy of the license agreement.

Coops

This displays the licensed Coop relationships currently present within the system.

Gross Sales Comparison

Gross Sales Comparison
This opens the Gross Sales Comparison, which allows you to view sales to date and compare to a specified date.

Logout User

3. Logout User
This logs the current user out of the current session of TransAct.  It does not exit the application.  This may be useful for higher security locations so that a manager or administrator can quickly log out and maintain privacy of sensitive information.

This opens the AR Customer File screen.  It requires the same user security for access as within the AR module. For more information, see Customer File.

This opens the IC Inventory File screen.  It requires the same user security for access as within the IC module. For more information, see Inventory File.

This allows you to locate an item and print labels.

This allows you to print a label with item price contained in the barcode.

This allows you to print uniquely numbered line buster forms.

Missed Opportunities

The Missed Ops button opens the missed opportunity form where users may enter missed opportunities for sales. Clicking Save sends the message to the manager.

Shift Status/ZNumber

8. Shift Status/ZNumber
This displays the shift status as open or closed, along with a ZNumber for open shifts.  For more information on shift status and ZNumber, see Begin-Close Shift (F5).
 
Clicking the shift status button opens a Drawer Status Report that provides a quick overview of all open workstations.

This opens a simple calculator.  It does not exchange data with the modules, but it remains visible when changing modules and switching screens.

This opens a simple finance calculator that allows you to calculate interest and payments.  It does not exchange data with the modules, but it remains visible when changing modules and switching screens.

Time Clock

11. Time Clock
Clicking Time Clock allows users to clock in and out for their shifts.  Upon entering a user ID and password, the user's name and when he or she last clocked in or out are displayed.  The user is able to clock in or out.  Note that a user's time clock login name is separate from the TransActPOS login name used to access the modules.

Help Center

The Help Center button opens the TransActPOS help file.  You can also open the help file by pressing the F1 key.  For more information on using the Help Center, see How to Use This Help File.
